Citizen of the Year Awards Banquet

The 54th Annual Citizen of the Year Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Myrtle Creek Elks Lodge


The awards banquet is the premiere event of the year and usually all available seats are filled. Average attendance over the past several years has been about 180 people.
The theme for 2012 is "The Roaring 20's". Social Hour with live music begins at 6 PM. Dinner choices are Prime Rib or Chicken. $25 per person. To make your reservation, call Linda Johnson at 541-863-6843 no later than February 24, 2012.
Theme dress suggested, but not required.

Winter Classes Schedule

If you have looked at the UCC Winter Class Schedules, THEY ARE INCORRECT! They have listed the Best of Oils & Acrylics class as having later hours and no afternoon class. THAT IS NOT THE CASE!

The schedule has not changed. Classes will start the week of January 9th. Please go to Classes page for the correct schedule and prices.

2011 Winter Wine Walk

The Winter Wine Walk and The "Grand Illumination" of the city Christmas tree will be held Saturday, December 3rd from 4 P.M. - 6:30 P.M. in downtown Myrtle Creek. Start at The Myrtle Inn for maps, purchase Souvenir wine glass for $5 or bring your own. Take a carriage ride, featuring Draft Horse "Stahl" from A Place of Hope Ranch in Riddle. Visit participating businesses on Main Street, 1st Ave, 2nd Ave, Oak St and Pleasant Street. Other downtown businesses will also be open during this event. Get photos taken with Santa at Photos by Serena right before the wine walk
Christmas Tree Lighting is at 5:30pm at the corner of Main St & 2nd Ave. Enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, Carolers and maybe even a visit by Santa Claus!
