Featured Artist--Letha Gipe-Mitchell

Letha Gipe-Mitchell is the featured artist in the gallery at Ye Olde Art Shoppe, located at 106 NE Oak St., Myrtle Creek, OR. Her artwork will be on display for July and August.
Letha has lived in Oregon since 1987 where she moved from Colorado. She is self taught in numerous mediums; oil, acrylic, pencil, water color and pastels. She taught for UCC Community Education for 19 years in the art field. She has taught classes on her own after leaving UCC, taught at Days Creek High School in the art department for a year. She has taken workshops from well known artists to round out her talent. Over the years she has watched several of her students to go on and become well known artists and instructors. Her life has been very busy until recently and she is now able to pursue her artwork and learn new techniques again.
There will be a reception on Saturday, August 5th from 11:00am to 2:30pm. Public is invited to attend the reception to meet the artist, enjoy her artwork and refreshments that will be served.

Just a reminder of Kim Kimerling's art reception this Saturday, May27th.  Hours will be 10:30am to 1:30pm. Refreshments will be served.  Everyone is welcome to meet and greet the artist.

Kim Kimerling is the featured artist for May and June. Kimerling's artwork reflects his travels and teachings from around the world. He was influenced by the cultures of Africa, South America, and Southwestern Native Americans.  He has taught art in various countries.

There will be a reception on May 27th from 10:30am to 1:30pm. At that time, you will be able to meet the artist and talk to him about his work.
